Job Description:

The Park Services Associate Team Leader helps guide the Park Service Associates in maintaining the New York Aquarium by performing a number of tasks as part of a crew or alone.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for working with and leading a crew to maintain comfort stations
• Responsible for working with and leading a crew with the setups and break downs of all Aquarium events.
• Responsible to report destroyed equipment or any vandalism to exhibits.
• Responsible for working with and leading a crew in the daily upkeep of the stands of the Aqua Theater
• Helps Supervision with the delegation and oversite of work assignments
• Helps lead a team in maintaining the cleanliness of the Aquarium exhibits, buildings and grounds in all areas (Window, Garbage ETC )
• Responsible for checking equipment and supplies and reporting those that need repair or to be ordered to Supervision
• Providing excellent service to guests, including maintaining general knowledge of park attractions and amenities, answering questions and finding ways to create a great guest experience, in accordance with WCS standards of guest service.
• Responsible for working with and leading a crew to seat the public during Aqua Theater shows and working in the stands throughout demonstrations
• Completing other related assignments and assisting others on the team as required

Job Requirements:

• Ability to assign tasks and follow up to ensure completion
• Must possess leadership skills and an eye for detail
• Ability to remain outdoors for long periods of time in a variety of weather conditions

Qualification & Experience:

• Prior experience using ground tool’s preferred.
• Ability to frequently move objectives up to 50 pounds.
• Knowledge of window cleaning a plus
• Must work Weekends and all Holiday’s
• Reliable and Dependable
