Job Description:

The Park Service’s Associate is responsible for maintaining areas at Central Park Zoo.

Job Responsibilities:

• Checking equipment and reporting those that need repair, moving equipment and supplies to assigned areas
• Emptying garbage bins and maintaining outside walkways
• Completing other assignments and helping others on the team as required
• Providing excellent service to guests, including maintaining general knowledge of park attractions and amenities, answering questions and finding ways to create a great guest experience, in accordance with WCS standards of guest service
• Cleaning and maintaining comfort stations in accordance with WCS procedures

Job Requirements:

• Drivers License
• Display proficiency and skills in the use of tools associated with applicable fields
• Ability to operate vehicles or other equipment such as snow throwers, leaf blowers, carpet extractors, vacuums, buffing machines.

Qualification & Experience:

• Good oral communication skills required
• Ability to frequently move objectives weighing up to 50 pounds
• Prior experience using grounds keeping tools preferred
• Ability to stay outdoors for long periods of time in a variety of weather conditions
