Job Description:

Job Responsibilities:

• effectively aligning resources to achieve high quality and timely releases, with the foresight and experience to course-correct and realign workstreams when justified to address critical shifting signals in client behavior/marketplace
• establishing a disciplined value-oriented methodology for evaluating and recalibrating product / service features on the highest-returning initiatives
• defining and implementing best practice coding methodologies and rigorous DevOps discipline
• communicating effectively across all levels of the organization by creating a sense of urgency and inspiring a commitment to software product excellence
• ensuring all processes, services, and software comply with security, client data privacy, and financial services regulations and other applicable laws
• collaborating and communicating with product leadership to effectively translate product strategy into a development work plan for engineering teams
• guiding and executing the technology vision and strategy in alignment with mission critical business and product objectives
• owning the technical development of the offering including defining technical requirements and systems architecture with clarity on feasibility, time, cost, and impact
• defining and managing against the KPI’s that drive desired outcomes and quantifiable success.
• creating buy-in and excitement with UBS stakeholders by effectively communicating on-going evolution of functional and technical capabilities

Job Requirements:

• proven experience in building, leading, mentoring and scaling product engineering teams comprised of developers, QA, PM, designers and Dev Sec Ops
• has a keen understanding of balancing financial considerations of the business, feature-set specifications of the platform, and time to market urgency
• a financial services veteran fluent in developing omnichannel digital products leveraging standard cloud, web, mobile platforms
• brings a high degree of technical expertise and business acumen in partnering with design, product, and operations teams in creating unique and differentiated user experiences
• ideally 15+ years of progressive product-focused engineering leadership experience (Fintech, Consumer Finance and/or Wealth Management industries)
• has the ability to navigate and shape technical and cultural integration with parent IT and operations, and partner closely with respective organizations in the implementation of IT security, regulatory, compliance, and client data privacy
• is comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty and adept at providing stability and guidance in dynamic, cross-functional teams
• has the ability to set clear and deliverable goals, and demonstrates resolve and commitment to deliver
