The Enterprise Information Architecture (EIA) team in Starbucks Technology is responsible for driving business value using a multi-disciplinary approach that includes enterprise information modeling, enterprise data vocabulary development, taxonomy development, ontology, and metadata practices.

This position contributes to Starbucks success by leading enterprise level data initiatives and introduction of new technology capabilities. The manager architect’s primary role is to lead their team of data architects, taxonomists and data modelers and participate in the creation of usable enterprise level data strategies and roadmaps. Additionally, the role is responsible for coaching mentoring and leading their team to develop data architecture-level designs that articulate the strategy, roadmap and/or solution that meet the needs of a business strategy or problem.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Overall IT experience – 15 years
  • Systems and/or application development experience – 10 years
  • Data Architecture experience – 7 years
  • Functional and Systems modeling – 10 years
  • Working in a variety of technical environments – 10 years
  • Designing and implementing technology proof-of-concepts – 10 years
  • Project or Program management experience – 7 years
  • Development of data enterprise and departmental strategic plans – 2 years desired
  • Indirect People Development – 10 years
  • Business process design and analysis – 10 years desired
  • Team and Talent Management – 3 years
  • Management of Architecture Practice -1 year
  • Collaborative development of strategic plans at business unit and company-wide levels – 7 years
  • Large-scale information system architecture design and deployment – 7 years
