Job Description:

As a Carpenter you’ll roll up your sleeves, get your hands dirty and perform all commercial carpentry needs in order to provide a once in a lifetime memory for guests and team members alike. We’re looking to you to make sure our rides are good to go

Job Responsibilities:

• Select proper materials for jobs
• Dependable performance in terms of attendance, acceptance of assignments, and strict adherence to all safety policies and requirements
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as required
• Perform all functions of general carpentry work for zoo exhibit areas, in-park builds, repairs, installations, providing a safe environment for guests, employees, and animals.

Job Requirements:

• Cabinet making experience; i.e. cabinet building and framing; fabrications of countertops, and more)
• Experience in drywall installation and repair
• At least three years of onsite experience in the carpentry trade or in the carpentry field
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in roof repairs
• At least 18 years of age
• Experience with door, fence and gate repair (mechanical and manual)

Qualification & Experience:

• Basic mathematical skills
• Experienced in all phases of concrete work
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable working around animals
• Comfortable building and working on scaffolding up to 24ft
• Able to operate and maintain power and hand tools and other equipment in good safe condition
• Comfortable working at heights up to 100ft
• Able to lift 50 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds with assistance
• Comfortable with exposure to noise and vibrations
• Able to climb and work off of ladders
