Job Description:

The Detailed Scheduler will create and maintain an optimized, executable, and detailed production schedule at the lowest level of the hierarchy for the operation with consideration of time, resources, capacity and raw materials that creates an optimum schedule plan to meet market demand in a timely manner. The Detailed Scheduler will provide proactive, clear, concise and accurate information to the internal and external business partners regarding issues, potential delays and deviations to the schedule. The Detailed Scheduler will incorporate techniques to determine how best to sequence (Rhythm Wheel) and synchronize production. The Detailed Scheduler will consider priorities and manufacturing constraints and manage changes.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provides recommendations to Operations to adjust resources or work overtime to balance overall manufacturing capacity
  • Perform scenario analysis to ensure the detail schedule is optimized, work with the MPS planner on any questions and/or concerns with the MPS Plan.
  • Maintain a strong relationship/partnership with Operations, Manufacturing, Quality, Transportation, Procurement, and Warehouse teams.
  • Tracks and reports capacity hours, schedule attainment, and past due plans by machine
  • Ensures that materials and equipment are available for production according to the schedule timelines.
  • Review all detailed schedule parameters to ensure accuracy.
  • Drive continuous improvement in detailed scheduling concepts through the use of systems, industry standards, and network collaboration.
  • Organizes and leads weekly (and ad hoc) meetings with the Production supervisors to review and align to the weekly production schedule.
  • Provides alternative scheduling scenarios to assist with potential vulnerability and misses in manufacturing
  • Knowledge of the Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Rough Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP) and Master Production Scheduling (MPS)

Job Requirements:

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, excellent communication (written and verbal), presentation skills and the ability to influence without authority.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% domestically
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment where priorities change rapidly, and critical timelines exist

Qualification & Experience:

  • Experience managing multiple projects and initiatives
  • A Bachelor’s degree focus in Business, Supply Chain, or Engineering
  • Previous experience working in a GMP manufacturing environment
  • Intermediate Proficiency in MS Office, specifically MS Excel, v-lookup or pivot tables
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • SAP experience
  • A minimum of four (4) years’ experience working within at least one or more of the following areas: planning, forecasting, quality, project management, plant operations, purchasing, distribution, transportation, and/or customer service
