Job Description:

The Treasury Solutions Support Specialist is responsible for support and maintenance of the Global Treasury Management System. He/She provides troubleshooting, administrative, and application support to users to ensure cash investment forecast data is effectively provided. UPS Corporate Treasury is responsible for managing UPS liquidity, bank relationships, investments, and financial risk. The group is headquartered in Atlanta with regional treasury sites in London, Miami, and Singapore supporting the international business operations.

The Treasury Solutions Support Specialist responds to international and domestic field issue requests to ensure resolution within service level agreement guidelines. He/She documents technical procedures utilized in developing and maintaining system performance (e.g., adding entities, creating templates, setting up new cash types, adding users, etc.) to create a record of processes utilized. This position will also assist with the maintenance and use of various Treasury Solutions databases, processes, and systems.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Interfaces with third-party vendors on problem resolution to ensure effective transfer of data between banks and UPS
  • Keeps users informed of future system enhancements to prepare for contingency plans and simplify job duties and tasks
  • Provides administrative support (e.g., retrieving data, creating and deleting users, addressing problems, etc.) to assist users in resolving problems
  • Maintains and runs daily/weekly/monthly Treasury Solution processes as well as action any fallout from these processes
  • Assists with upgrade testing to improve system operation and add functionality
  • Coordinates with UPS Information Technologies (IT) to monitor system to ensure limited down time
  • Develops a system manual as required to provide guidance on system functionality
  • Administers user access and permissions to ensure system security

Job Requirements:

  • Report Generation: Possesses ability to generate simple reports using basic functions in software, and/or writing basic queries; identifies information required to complete reports and identifies existing reports generated by others
  • Technical Writing: Demonstrates a general understanding and use of grammatical rules; expresses ideas clearly and concisely; explains the relationship of effective writing to business objectives
  • Solicits and Gathers Information: Demonstrates a general knowledge of techniques for soliciting and gathering information
  • Detail Orientation: Captures/documents specific and accurate information; learns subjects thoroughly and in detail; completes work with thoroughness; supplies appropriate details when requested; maintains organized files

Qualification & Experience:

  • Technology Knowledge: Demonstrates a general understanding of technology used by the company. Experienced with Access and Excel and a working knowledge using VBA, SQL, or other comparable coding language
  • Bachelor’s Degree (or internationally comparable degree) – Preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree (or internationally comparable degree) in Accounting, Finance, M.I.S., or related field – Preferred
  • Experience using tools such as Microsoft Access and Excel – Preferred
