Job Description:
Georgia Pacific’s Enterprise Data Strategy and Governance team is seeking an Enterprise Data Product Owner/Manager. This is an internal product manager role reporting through IT that is responsible for leading the delivery of enterprise data products, currently consisting of a real estate data product and employee data product. These programs will positively impact the Operations of Georgia Pacific; specifically, the enterprise analytics capabilities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Meeting with internal clients, dev, and QA team members to ensure product backlog is up to date with acceptance criteria, reproduction steps
- Ensuring cost-effective delivery of products that generate measurable value.
- Knowledge sharing with developers regarding the expected functions of product features
- Calculating a range of AGILE metrics to further decision making (velocity, anticipated capacity)
- Updating information in AGILE tools (Azure DevOps, Boards, Backlogs) in partnership with geographically dispersed teammates
- Leading by example. Assist with tasks and work as servant leader to ensure success
- Guiding and translating a client’s vision and message into functional product specifications
- Presenting and ‘negotiating’ to make decisions about product roadmap and delivery
- Communicating (presenting, leading) with clients and teams throughout the organization about product strategy, product backlog details and sprint planning.
- Authoring documents, low fidelity mockups, process flows, data structures
Job Requirements:
- Utilization of AGILE tools such as JIRA OR Azure DevOps OR Smartsheet
- CSM, CPO, CPM, AIPMM and equivalent product certifications
- Skilled with modern visualization and reporting tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
Qualification & Experience:
- Experience with data concepts (pipelines, automation, quality, reporting)
- Experience with product management activities such as requirement gathering, building customer relationships, product planning
- Experience working within an AGILE environment
- Experience with Google Analytics, PPAS or other web analytics tools
- Experience with AWS; SaaS and related cloud technologies
- Experience creating product roadmaps and creating product documentation
- Experience with Planview or other Resource Management technologies
- Degree in in information systems, business administration, or equivalent degree
- Experience with designing, developing, and implementing technology in a manufacturing setting
