Job Description:
- Act as a customer service ambassador in all departments to achieve business goals while fostering an environment that produces high levels of customer satisfaction and associate morale.
- Responsible for Food Lion To Go operations, making decisions which impact store associates and the level of service offered to our customers.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure return-to-stock items are handled in a prompt and orderly manner with the most immediate attention given to refrigerated and perishable items
- Role model outstanding, friendly customer service and use skills and knowledge of department products to offer solutions that meet or exceed customers’ expectations
- Support the achievement of budgeted financial and operating results
- Understand and use company tools such as; financial reports, ACIS, scheduling, productivity, ordering (CAO), and business information systems Understanding and utilize Average Cost Inventory System (ACIS)
- Maintain effective work schedules for Food Lion To Go associates to meet business traffic requirements of on-line orders to minimize customer inconvenience, including assigning activities to associates during idle time
- Supervise the performance of all duties and responsibilities of department associates and provides ongoing performance management, training and conducts timely formal performance appraisals for direct reports
- Providing leadership and motivation within the store to promote a culture reflective of our Guiding Principles, Core Values, Vision and Strategy
- Manages the Food Lion To Go operations, including hiring, training and developing department associates
- Controls store’s expenses through proper ordering, care for supplies and equipment
- Proactively partner with department managers to ensure fresh orders, particularly those with out of stocks are handled properly
Job Requirements:
- Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques preferred
- Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job
- Must be accredited by the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals or similar accrediting organization as a “Certified Food Safety Manager” or will be required to attend company provided training and have the ability to achieve accreditation within the first 90 days of employment; Accreditation must be maintained while employed in a position requiring accreditation
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lead and manage a team
- Ability to use technical information to solve problems
Qualification & Experience:
- Must meet minimum age requirements, when applicable, to perform specific job functions
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
