Job Description:

We have a new permanent opportunity to join our successful and talented E-Commerce Trading Team at The Disney Store (Europe). The E-Commerce Trading Manager will work with the Trading Team to effectively plan and trade the ShopDisney e-commerce websites in all markets (UK/France/Germany/Spain/Italy/.EU) in order to maximise sales and margin to achieve all targets.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with the Planning team (Buying & Merchandising) and Senior Trade Manager to understand product Strategy in order to build e-commerce Key Performance Indicator (KPIs) plans for all e-commerce websites including Sales, Margin, Average Order Value (AOV), Average
  • Item Price (AIP), Units per transaction (UPT), Traffic & Conversion
  • With the Senior Trade Manager, be responsible for planning and delivering the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for the e-commerce business, working with all key stakeholders,
  • Be innovative in planning and driving all in-season online promotional activity, maximising sales, margin and all other KPIs, including promotional mechanics and onsite execution,
  • Provide key data insight on franchise (Films/Shows/Characters), category and market performance for planning products and KPIs,
  • Work with the Senior Trade Manager to produce the quarterly plans (‘playbook’) in-line with the critical path,
  • Work with the Digital Marketing team to build the trade plans, and shift in season in response to trade, and commercial promotions that deliver the required sales, margin and traffic targets,
  • Responsible for analysis of past performance to deliver effective plans to drive and trade the KPIs and deliver the required Sales and Margin targets across all sites,

Job Requirements:

  • Support and lead other ad hoc projects as required.
  • Proven experience as an Assistant Merchandiser/Junior Merchandiser/Merchandiser at a retailer, essential
  • Drive e-commerce delivery and customer experience strategy for each of the e-commerce markets, working with the EDC, Guest services, Site Merchandising and Production teams,

Qualification & Experience:

  • Proven experience of managing and developing the performance of a team
  • Proven experience of building effective relationships and collaboration across departments and other divisions to achieve financial targets and joint goals,
