Corporate Recruiter – Speedway Careers

Job Description:

Develops and executes recruiting plans to fill corporate job openings in Speedway’s IT and Engineering Departments.   Establishes network relationships in order to build a highly qualified candidate pool. Determines appropriate candidate for open positions and placement rate upon completion of recruiting process.

Job Responsibilities:

• Works with network relationships to develop and maintain a highly qualified candidate pool
• Evaluates resumes and applications, reviews qualifications and selects candidates to contact for an interview
• Completes recruitment/staffing performance reports which can be used to analyze/determine placement rates, turnover, compliance and areas for improvement
• Designs and prepares reports to determine candidate placement progress
• Represents Company with outside employment agencies, at job fairs, employment conferences and collegiate job fairs
• Performs other duties, including special projects, as assigned by Management
• Determines appropriate candidates for open positions, based upon a complete review of screening results and references. Extends offers to prospective new employees
• Ensures that all recruitment rate offers are in compliance with Speedway Compensation policies and advises management prior to salary changes being made effective
• Ensures proper execution of established program, Company and government guidelines are followed during the hiring process
• Utilizes Company guidelines (pay rate and job grade charts) to determine rate of pay for open positions

Job Requirements:

• Strong sense of initiative
• Ability to make day to day decisions, including personnel decisions, with little to no immediate supervision
• Demonstrated expertise with Word, Excel, and other MS Office suite applications
• High energy and motivation to stay on the phone for a high volume of phone calls each day

Qualification & Experience:

• Advanced communication skills; speaks articulately and writes with a polished vocabulary
• Possesses the confidence and charisma to interact with dozens of people per day, in-person and on the phone
• Projects a professional image and refined business decorum to internal clients and jobseekers
• Takes pride in being detail oriented and highly organized
