Schwab Advisor Services is the leading provider of custodial, operational and trading support for independent fee-based investment advisors. The Regional RM Support Specialist is the front line of the regional office for our advisors in answering questions and provide consulting on important advisor functions. In addition, this position requires the RSS to: Provide the highest level of support to existing Schwab Advisor Services clients; Keep clients abreast of products and services that will help their practices and build their relationship with Schwab; Actively seek and develop new client relationships as well as seek to increase Schwab’s custodial role with existing relationships.
Job Responsibilities:
- Build active relationships with internal service partners to jointly deliver outstanding client service.
- Ensure sales funnel is current and accurate
- Meeting preparation – including production of sales materials
- Distribute and collect client agreements for pricing and benefit offer delivery. Consult with firms on benefit offer and the invoice submission process
- Event planning & Execution – (partnering with sponsors and event managers, invites, tracking, evaluations etc.). Attendance at some events required.
- Collaborate with RM regarding client meeting follow-up/fulfillment
- Partner with MD to develop agenda and facilitate sales team meetings
- Ensure RMs KPI data is current and accurate
- Act as thought partner and co-driver for regional sales initiatives
- Assist RM in sales process
Job Requirements:
- Experience in client service or sales support roles required
- 2+ years financial services experience required, Schwab Advisor Services operations preferred
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work related experience preferred
Qualification & Experience:
- Strong client service skills with ability to anticipate and resolve problems with own initiative
- A valid and active FINRA Series 7 and 63 Licenses highly preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Well organized with good time-management skills
- Strong PC skills in MS office applications including EXCEL and PowerPoint are required
- Knowledge of Schwab products and services and brokerage industry including operations and trading
