Job Description:

Job Responsibilities:

• Interpret veterinary procedures in real-time
• Facilitate animal and conservation related activities and demonstrations
• Educate guests about veterinary medicine and conservation
• Perform other duties as required – may include diet preparation, assisting with camp presentations, cleaning, etc
• Lead tours of the Animal Care Center facility and promote tour products
• Serve as a positive role model for internal and external guests by adhering to company standards on wardrobe, conduct, safety, cleanliness, and timeliness at all times

Job Requirements:

• Ability to work in an outdoor environment: high heat, humidity, cold, etc.
• Working towards a degree or have a degree in Education, Animal Science, Psychology, Zoology or related field preferred but not necessary
• At least 18 years of age
• Excellent communication and public speaking skills
• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekday and weekend shifts, evenings, and holidays
• Ability to provide outstanding guest service
• Ability to work 28 hours a week

Qualification & Experience:

• Prior guest/customer service experience preferred
• Experience working at a veterinary facility is preferred but not required
• Ability to practice proper time management when given multiple tasks
• Basic computer knowledge
• This position requires walking, standing, bending and overhead reaching
• Perform cleaning duties, including use of cleaning chemicals
• Able to push, pull, lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work individually and/or within a team setting
